The All-New Kia K4 Hatchback Comes at an Insanely Low Price
Standard features include wireless connectivity and heated seats.
As consumers continue to favor crossovers and SUVs, many automakers have phased out small sedans and hatchbacks—including Kia. When the third-generation Forte launched, Kia dropped the five-door variant in the U.S. market. That changes in 2026 with the return of the Kia K4 Hatchback, and it comes at a surprisingly low price.
The Kia K4 Hatchback will be available in three trims: EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo. The base EX starts at $26,085, including the $1,195 destination fee. That’s just $2,700 more than the entry-level LX sedan and only $500 above the four-door EX, making it an affordable option for hatchback fans.

The GT-Line trim starts at $27,085, just $1,000 above the EX hatch, while the top-of-the-line GT-Line Turbo comes in just under $30,000 at $29,985.
Under the hood, the hatchback shares its standard powertrain with the sedan: a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), though buyers seeking a traditional automatic will need to step up to the GT-Line or GT-Line Turbo trims.
2026 Kia K4 Hatchback Pricing (Including Destination Fee)
| Model | Price |
|---|---|
| EX | $26,085 |
| GT-Line | $27,085 |
| GT-Line Turbo | $29,985 |
Both the GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo trims are powered by Kia’s turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels. These models also get sportier suspension tuning for a more engaging drive.
Cargo space in the Kia K4 Hatchback is 22.2 cubic feet with the rear seats up, a noticeable increase over the sedan’s 14.5 cubic feet. For comparison, the Kia Seltos crossover offers 26.6 cubic feet of rear cargo space.
Standard features on the five-door Kia K4 Hatchback include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, heated front seats, and a wireless phone charger. Optional upgrades include a Harman Kardon audio system and a heated steering wheel.
The Kia K4 Hatchback also supports over-the-air software updates and comes equipped with 16 standard advanced driver-assistance systems, including blind-spot collision-avoidance and adaptive cruise control. The only notable omission is a manual transmission—and Kia isn’t offering one.
The 2026 Kia K4 Hatchback is expected to arrive at dealerships early next year.
