The 2026 Honda Accord: Affordable Yet Packed with Value
One of the top cars in its class now offers even greater value.
The Honda Accord hardly needs an introduction. Since its American debut in 1976, this midsize sedan has become a cornerstone of Honda’s lineup, earning countless awards along the way. Nearly 50 years later, the Accord shows no signs of slowing down. For the 2026 model year, it’s sticking to the tried-and-true formula—and that’s exactly what makes it so appealing.
Honda Adds More Value to Gas-Powered Accord Trims for 2026

While a full redesign of the 11th-generation Accord is likely still a year away, Honda is making smart updates for 2026 to give the gas-powered trims a more premium feel. The Accord LX and SE now come standard with a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and a physical volume knob—bringing tech upgrades to the more affordable models.
On the outside, the SE trim gets an upgrade with larger 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Accord Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid trims receive a sportier look with black exterior accents, including black decklid badging, black door mirrors, a black shark fin antenna, and gloss-black trim on the B-pillar. The Sport Hybrid goes a step further with black window trim for a sharper, more aggressive appearance.

The 2026 Honda Accord Holds Steady on Price

Thanks to Honda’s strong U.S. manufacturing presence—including the Accord being built in Ohio since 1982—the midsize sedan remains largely unaffected by tariffs. As a result, price increases for the 2026 model year are minimal.
The base 2026 Accord LX starts at $28,395 MSRP, just $100 more than the 2025 model. The $1,195 destination charge remains unchanged, meaning buyers can still snag an LX for under $30,000, potentially with added accessories like floor mats. At the top end, the Touring Hybrid trim reaches $39,495, only a $195 increase over last year.

Honda Accord Sales Are Declining
The American market’s shift away from sedans hasn’t spared the Honda Accord. Through Q3 2025, Honda has sold just 109,677 Accords, marking a 12% drop compared with the same period in 2024. That follows an even steeper 17.8% decline from 2023. Unless there’s a dramatic surge in Q4, the Accord is on track to fall out of the top 25 best-selling vehicles in the U.S.
