Launched in 1966, the Ford Bronco aimed to bring the Mustang’s formula of straightforward, affordable excitement to a rugged off-road vehicle rather than a sporty coupe. Needless to say, it succeeded, becoming an American icon for six decades—though with a pause between 1997 and 2020. The current 2026 Ford Bronco already pays homage to its roots with vintage-inspired styling, but Ford is taking that nostalgia even further with the new 60th Anniversary package unveiled today.
Modern Capability, Old-School Styling
While not as overtly retro as the Bronco Heritage trim, the 60th Anniversary package still features distinctive styling touches to mark the milestone. For the first time, the SUV is offered in Wimbledon White—a classic 1966 hue also favored by the Mustang—paired with a matching hardtop. For those wanting a more striking look, Ruby Red with the Wimbledon roof is available, though it’s a surprisingly modern choice for an anniversary model. Another new detail is the front grille, finished in Warm Alloy and inspired by the original Bronco’s design, though it’s less of a direct replica than the grille found on the Heritage Edition.
Vermillion Red accents are scattered across the exterior, highlighting details like the grille lettering, a sleek rocker panel decal featuring the package’s signature “60” logo alongside a bucking pony, and an intricate fender badge that proudly nods to the car’s mid-1960s heritage. Adding to the vintage vibe is a hard-capped spare tire cover painted in Wimbledon White, complete with matching grille-style lettering.
The 60th Anniversary package also introduces a fresh 17-inch wheel design finished in Gravity Gray. The center caps feature Vermillion Red accents, showcasing a bucking bronco silhouette at the center and the numbers “1966” encircling the rim. Ford says this design pays tribute to the original Bronco’s hubcaps—something we can somewhat appreciate. That said, the wheels do have a somewhat aftermarket vibe, reminiscent of styles from brands like Fifteen52 or AEV. But honestly, there are worse inspirations to take from.
A Premium, Leather-Lined Interior
The 60th Anniversary package, exclusive to the well-equipped 2026 Ford Bronco Outer Banks trim, elevates the cabin alongside its distinctive exterior updates. The seats are upholstered in a striking combination of ebony black and Alpine white leather, accented with Alpine white stitching on the bolsters and dashboard. This ultra-light-gray tone also wraps the door tops in durable marine-grade vinyl—ideal for resting your arm out the window on a sunny day. The seatbacks proudly display the same “60” logo found outside, with the bronco emblem nestled between the numbers. Bright red pinstriping highlights the dash and console grab handles, while all 2026 models benefit from a new assist bar on each A-pillar for added convenience.
The pricing for the 60th Anniversary package will be revealed in the coming weeks and it will be available exclusively with the Outer Banks trim’s Sasquatch equipment pack. Buyers can choose between a 300-horsepower EcoBoost 2.3-liter four-cylinder or a 330-hp EcoBoost 2.7-liter V6. The Sasquatch package adds a higher-clearance suspension, rugged 35-inch maximum-traction tires, and electronic locking front and rear differentials. This off-road-ready setup perfectly complements the 60th Anniversary edition, making it clear that the 2026 Ford Bronco true purpose is to deliver endless fun off the beaten path—ideally with the hardtop panels removed for maximum freedom.
