Ford’s Mustang and Bronco E-Bikes Lead a Surprisingly Fun Gift Lineup

A big lump of coal for whoever thought approving this was a good idea.

If you were upset when Ford slapped the Mustang badge on an electric SUV, the newest electric ‘Stang might push you even further. And Bronco fans, you’re not off the hook either. It turns out Ford has launched a lineup of E-bikes inspired by some of its most iconic models. There’s no Taurus-themed commuter bike, but there is a Mustang E-bike equipped with both a motor and pedals, along with a Bronco E-Bikes that proudly touts the off-roader’s signature “Goes Over Any Terrain” capability.

More Merch Than You’d Ever Expect

Car brands don’t pour effort into cultivating identities just to build loyalty. The marketing folks will tell you it’s about authenticity, values, and a bunch of feel-good buzzwords. In reality, it’s about making the brand stick in your mind long enough for you to buy the merchandise. Ferrari, for example, is practically a clothing company that also happens to build Formula 1 cars—not the other way around.

We’re not judging, though. Ford’s holiday gift guide is packed with genuinely cool gear, from shirts and hats to belt buckles—sorry, truckles—plus off-road adventures and track-day experiences.

Still, it’s a stretch to imagine a two-wheeled Mustang zipping through bike lanes or weaving through crowds. Ford insists the design is unmistakably Mustang, yet from what we can tell, the only real similarities are the horse emblems and a three-bar taillight. It’s just like the car’s—only there’s just one of them.

This Mustang cranks out 750 watts—yes, more than a full horsepower—plus whatever extra you can muster from the pedals. It tops out at 28 mph and can travel up to 60 miles on a single charge. And naturally, it comes with a track mode, because why wouldn’t it?

The Bronco E-Bikes uses the same motor and delivers the same 28-mph top speed, but it stands apart with its dirtbike-style seat and unique rear-end geometry. It even gets a taillight design that looks more Bronco than anything found on the Mustang model. Ford says the air-spring front and coil-spring rear are GOAT-inspired—a nod to the real SUV’s “Goes Over Any Terrain” capability. The Bronco E-Bikes comes in 14 official Ford colors, while the Mustang version offers 13. Pricing starts at $4,000 for the Mustang plus any paint upgrades, with the Bronco coming in slightly higher at $4,500.

From Ugly Sweaters to Megazilla

So what else made Ford’s holiday gift list? For starters, there’s an ugly Christmas sweater—straight out of 2012’s trend revival—decked out in blue and white with an F-150 towing Santa’s sleigh. There’s also a Bronco-themed sweater featuring a red Bronco hauling a Christmas tree on its roof. Honestly, that one’s not even ugly.

You can also snag camo Ford hoodies—“tough enough to keep you warm and fuzzy”—along with ballcaps, mechanic-style button-ups, and yes, even that belt buckle designed specifically to carry your oversized Ford key.

A half-day Bronco Off-Roadeo experience is ideal for the car enthusiast who already owns everything. An afternoon on the trails with professional instructors beats another tie or a pair of socks any day.

Ford may have saved the best items for last. First up is the Lego Technic Bronco, a set that lets you assemble a miniature version of the SUV—V6 engine included—with Badlands trim decals along the sides. There’s also a Traeger smoker on the list which, despite lacking a Ford logo, is still more than capable of delivering some seriously impressive meals.

And then there’s Megazilla. Who wouldn’t want to unwrap a 612-horsepower, 7.3-liter crate engine on Christmas morning? The kit includes just about everything you need—minus the ECU—and it’s designed to bolt right up to any transmission originally paired with a 4.6, 5.4, or Coyote 5.0.
