Ram 1500 RHO MagnaFlow Exhaust Upgrade Puts F-150 Raptor Owners on Notice
“RHO owners asked for more roar, and Ram with MagnaFlow is answering the call.”

Ram actually had a two-pronged strategy for buyers eager for the Hemi V8’s return. First, it brought back the Hemi—something we’ll soon get behind the wheel to experience. Second, it aimed to make the Hurricane twin-turbo six sound even more exhilarating.
Today, we’re focusing on Ram second plan: a pair of MagnaFlow exhaust options for the 1500 RHO, engineered to really ‘bring out the personality’ of the turbocharged six-cylinder. Curious to hear it? Keep reading—we’ve got an exclusive sound clip further down.
Big Pipes, Bigger Sound
The first of the two offerings is the MagnaFlow SPEQ series cat-back exhaust. It features three-inch mandrel-bent piping that flows into dual five-inch black chrome tips. Crafted entirely from stainless steel, the system includes two mufflers and an X-pipe designed to balance combustion pulses—and potentially boost power. MagnaFlow’s SPEQ series also incorporates No Drone Technology, ensuring the louder exhaust note stays bold without the annoying cabin drone.
MagnaFlow’s xMod series is a fully configurable exhaust system, offering six distinct sound profiles that Ram describes as ranging from “sporty” to “pissed-off”—and yes, that’s a direct quote.
The xMod system shares the same three-inch piping, X-pipe, and No Drone mid-pipe as the SPEQ setup. What sets it apart are three swappable modules, letting you dial in the exact sound you want. V-band clamps make swapping modules simple—at least until the truck endures a few harsh Michigan winters.
No Extra Power, Just More Noise
Ram isn’t claiming any additional horsepower for either exhaust. With the high-output Hurricane already producing 540 hp in the RHO, it didn’t exactly need more power—these upgrades are all about turning up the volume.
“Our customers told us they wanted more attitude from the Ram 1500 RHO, and we’re here to give it to them. Performance isn’t just about horsepower and torque, it’s about the full sensory experience. With our new MagnaFlow exhaust options, we’re handing drivers the volume knob and letting them crank it to eleven.”
– Tim Kuniskis, CEO, Ram brand
Ram is offering these exhausts to 1500 RHO owners via its Direct Connection Affiliated Accessories Program. While the systems are aftermarket parts with a two-year warranty from MagnaFlow, they’re available right at your Ram dealer. The SPEQ system carries an MSRP of $2,089, while the xMod system is priced at $3,099.
This setup is targeted specifically at RHO owners, but MagnaFlow also offers a SPEQ system for the rest of the new Ram lineup. The exact differences remain unclear, as parts diagrams for the new Ram haven’t been released yet.
When it comes to sound, it’s not for everyone. The clips below showcase the exhaust at startup and once the engine is warm. With the MagnaFlow system, the Hurricane is certainly unleashed, but no exhaust can make a six-cylinder sound like an eight. The note is more aggressive and better matches the character of the RHO than the stock system. That said, it leans more toward a BMW– or Toyota-style inline-six growl rather than the supercharged fury of a TRX V8. Fortunately, the TRX is making a comeback, so if this doesn’t satisfy your need for madness, the supertruck’s return is just around the corner.
