2025 Bentley Continental GT – Overview

For over two decades, the Bentley Continental GT has set the gold standard for grand touring luxury coupes, seamlessly blending the high fashion of elite craftsmanship with the blistering performance of a true supercar. The 2025 Bentley Continental GT model continues this tradition, but with a bold new evolution under the hood — one that reflects Bentley’s push toward electrification and sustainability.

While the exterior design remains unmistakably Continental, with its stately proportions and sculpted two-door silhouette, subtle refinements modernize its look. New lighting signatures, refreshed grille design, and optional Mulliner personalization options enhance the coupe’s visual presence without losing the familiar opulence that has long attracted aristocrats, athletes, and collectors alike.

The most dramatic change lies beneath the elegant sheet metal: a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that pairs a robust twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a powerful electric motor. This new drivetrain is coupled with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, delivering an astonishing 771 horsepower in the range-topping Speed model. Despite its luxury credentials and significant curb weight, the 2025 Continental GT accelerates with startling urgency—yet still offers the whisper-quiet serenity and refined road manners demanded of a true Grand Tourer.

Available in both GT coupe and GTC convertible forms, the 2025 Continental provides world-class comfort, state-of-the-art technology, and Bentley’s trademark attention to detail. Every element inside the cabin — from hand-stitched leathers to polished wood veneers — serves as a testament to craftsmanship and refinement. Yet, thanks to its electrified heart, this is also the most technologically advanced and eco-conscious Continental GT ever built.

Whether you’re carving through mountain roads or gliding effortlessly across a continent, the new Continental GT ensures that every journey becomes a luxurious event. This isn’t just a car — it’s a statement of power, elegance, and future-focused performance.

When Is The 2025 Bentley Continental GT Coming Out?

Bentley has announced that the 2025 Continental GT will be available for order starting late 2024, with deliveries beginning early in 2025. This timeline aligns with Bentley’s typical production and release schedule, allowing buyers to secure their models ahead of the new calendar year.

The Continental GT remains one of Bentley’s flagship models, so demand is expected to be high. Potential buyers are encouraged to reserve their cars early, especially for bespoke customization options, which Bentley is renowned for.

What’s New for 2025 Bentley Continental GT?

For 2025, the Bentley Continental GT launches its fourth generation with updated—yet unmistakably classic—styling and an all-new plug-in hybrid powertrain under the hood.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The 2025 Bentley Continental GT carries a starting price of $284,750, with fully optioned models reaching up to $363,550, depending on trim and customizations.

    Trim Starting MSRP (est.)
    GT Black Edition
    $296,950
    GT Speed
    $306,250
    GT Mulliner
    $330,950
    GTC Speed Convertible
    $336,350
    GTC Mulliner Convertible
    $363,550

So far, Bentley has announced only the Speed and Mulliner trims, both of which will be available at launch. Of the two, the Speed trim strikes us as the best pick, balancing performance and luxury. We anticipate that the S and Azure variants will return later in the model year. As more details become available, we’ll update this story accordingly.

    Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The 2025 Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed debut with a potent plug-in hybrid powertrain, borrowed from elsewhere in the Volkswagen Group, most notably the Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 paired with an electric motor, producing a combined 771 horsepower—making this the most powerful road-legal Continental GT ever.

This new hybrid setup replaces Bentley’s iconic 6.0-liter W-12 engine, which previously topped out at 650 horsepower. The standard non-hybrid V-8 has also been phased out, although it’s likely that less powerful versions of the hybrid system will appear in future, more affordable trims.

On the road, the new hybrid powertrain impressed us with its incredible thrust and smooth delivery. While the Continental GT’s substantial weight still affects handling agility and braking precision, it remains supremely quiet, refined, and comfortable—true to its grand touring roots.

      0–60-MPH Times

In our testing, the 2025 Continental GT Speed coupe accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 2.8 seconds, showcasing its blistering performance capabilities.

      Range, Charging, and Battery Life

According to EPA estimates, the Continental GT’s plug-in hybrid system is equipped with a 21.8-kWh battery pack, delivering approximately 30 miles of pure electric driving range. However, more spirited driving will likely reduce this figure, resulting in a shorter all-electric range.

      Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG

The EPA rates the 2025 Continental GT at 17 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and a combined 19 mpg. Once we have the opportunity to test it on our 75-mph highway fuel economy course, we’ll update this article with real-world mileage results. For the latest official fuel economy details, you can also visit the EPA’s website.

      Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

A Bentley wouldn’t be complete without an interior swathed in premium leather and fine wood, and the 2025 Continental GT lives up to that expectation. Plush, heavily cushioned seats upholstered in quilted leather offer exceptional all-day comfort, featuring 20-way power adjustments. Available upgrades include a soothing massage function and an intelligent climate control system that automatically heats or cools the cabin based on your comfort needs.

While rear seating isn’t particularly spacious, it can accommodate two adults comfortably for shorter journeys. The GTC convertible model boasts a power-operated cloth roof that can open or close in as little as 19 seconds, perfect for sudden weather changes; buyers can choose from seven different roof colors.

For those seeking a truly personalized experience, Bentley’s Mulliner bespoke customization service allows owners to tailor their Continental GT far beyond the standard options, ensuring a unique and luxurious finish.

        Infotainment and Connectivity

Every Continental GT comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, though you might not always spot it through the window. Bentley has cleverly designed a rotating dashboard panel that can flip to conceal the screen behind a wood veneer or showcase a set of three classic analog gauges instead.

The infotainment system runs Bentley’s latest software and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration. Audio options start with a standard 10-speaker system, but buyers can upgrade to either a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen setup or an 18-speaker Naim sound system, which uniquely features bass transducers embedded into the front seats for a rich listening experience.
