Every Mach-E now comes standard with a new heat pump, enhancing cabin warmth and boosting efficiency in colder climates. Models equipped with Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving system benefit from upgraded features, including automatic lane changes for added convenience and safety. A fresh Sport Appearance package is available on the Premium trim, giving it a more aggressive look reminiscent of the higher-end GT model. The infotainment system receives notable upgrades as well—models with the Connectivity package now feature a 5G-powered Wi-Fi hotspot, expanded app selections including YouTube, and enhanced navigation capabilities. On the style front, three new exterior colors join the lineup: Molten Magenta Metallic, Velocity Blue Metallic, and Desert Sand, complemented by three new wheel designs to personalize your Mach-E even further.

Our recommendation? The Premium trim strikes the best balance. It offers significant luxury upgrades over the base Select model, making for a more comfortable and refined driving experience. Ford estimates the Premium with the extended-range battery and rear-wheel drive delivers up to 320 miles of range. However, we’d opt for the all-wheel-drive version for better traction and handling, even though it lowers the estimated range slightly to around 290 miles.

EV Motor, Power, and Performance

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E offers two battery options: a standard-range 70.0-kWh pack and an extended-range 91.0-kWh pack. These batteries power either a single electric motor in the rear-wheel-drive versions of the Select and Premium trims or dual motors—one on each axle—in all-wheel-drive variants across all four trims.

At the top of the lineup, the GT and GT Performance models come exclusively with AWD, producing a robust 480 horsepower and up to 634 pound-feet of torque. The GT Performance upgrade and the Mach-E Rally models push torque even further to an impressive 700 pound-feet. Rear-wheel-drive models deliver either 266 or 290 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque, while the AWD Select and Premium trims offer between 266 and 346 horsepower, paired with 427 to 428 pound-feet of torque.

During our recent drive of an extended-range AWD Mach-E, we found it quicker and more engaging than many rivals in its segment. Beyond the range of power outputs, the Mach-E impresses with its smooth, quiet operation and refined ride quality—qualities that should appeal to a wide range of shoppers.

0–60-MPH Times

In our testing, the Mach-E Rally sprinted to 60 mph in an impressive 3.3 seconds. This beats the 2021 Mach-E GT Performance’s 3.7-second time, though we have yet to test the updated GT model with its newer Performance upgrade.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life

EPA-estimated range for the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E varies between 250 and 320 miles per charge, depending on the battery size and drivetrain configuration. While this isn’t quite on par with the longest-range Tesla models, it aligns well with other electric crossovers from major automakers.

Every Mach-E supports fast charging, and Ford includes a mobile home charging unit for convenience. When plugged into a standard 120-volt household outlet, this unit can add up to 30 miles of range overnight. Using a 240-volt outlet, the mobile charger can replenish up to 80% of the battery’s capacity overnight.

For faster home charging, Ford offers a more powerful Level 2 charging station that requires professional installation. Connected to this device, the Mach-E gains approximately 28 miles of range per hour of charging—making daily top-ups quick and easy.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe

The EPA rates the 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E at up to 110 MPGe in the city and 96 MPGe on the highway, but these figures apply to the base rear-wheel-drive model. The high-performance GT Performance trim is less efficient, with ratings of 90 MPGe city and 77 MPGe highway.

The Mach-E comes loaded with an array of thoughtful features, including customizable ambient interior lighting, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, and a panoramic sunroof.
